Transaction History
In November 2000, GSX.com planned to open its first New York sales office and needed
space ranging in size from 1,300 to 1,800 square feet. This office would represent the first New York Sales office for GSX.com and the principals
believed it should be located in Midtown Manhattan. GSX.com considered eleven spaces and quickly chose a 1,725 square feet suite
at 140 West 57th Street. The
lease was completed in the same month the search began: November 2000.

The Company
GSX was launched in June of 2001 and transacted over $350
million worth of business. The sophisticated website provided the
ability to complete buying and selling steel and related raw materials
primarily in the international spot market. In
June 2002, Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA) purchased the assets
of GSX, the Internet steel-trading marketer that was a pioneer in
international e-commerce trading in the steel industry.
